The Niagra Falls Power Company achieves its first long-distance transmission of hydroelectric power. The AC power from Nikola Tesla's brain child flowed over 26 miles to Buffalo, New York. Such a feat could not be achieved using Edison's DC power, and to this day a better method has not been implemented. |
