Adventurer Steve Fossett announces that he has broken the record for flying farther than anyone departing and landing at the same spot. He travelled more than 25,000 miles (40,225 kilometers) in three days in his GlobalFlyer aircraft. Fossett said he became restless during his three days in the plane and will retire the GlobalFlyer and give it to the Smithsonian Institution. |
