Tsunami Toll Hits 77,000

In the southern Indian state of Kerala, pyres of Tsunami victims bodies are burned on the beach at Alappad to avoid disease. Indonesian military teams reach the devastated west coast of Sumatra island and find thousands of casualties bringing the death toll across 12 Asian nations to 76,700. The International Red Cross predicts the death toll will rise above 100,000.
