In a statement without details, the US military announces that seven Marines with the 1st Marine Expeditionary Force died while conducting ``security and stabilization operations in Anbar province.'' The US Military can soften the news of continued resistance in a paritcular location, simply by citing only the province in which it occurs. Al Anbar province is a huge area that includes both cities of Falluja and Ramadi. The announcement brings the total American dead in the Iraq Campaign of the U.S. led War on Terror to 1,296. |
