US Media sources report that the recent homeland security alert is based on al Qaeda surveillance gathered prior to 9/11. U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Tom Ridge said Tuesday that some of the information was updated earlier this year but that "there's no evidence of recent surveillance." Unfortunately, Ridge refused to answer a direct question about how much information was reported. |
