Reagan Admits "Mistake"

In a televised address to the American public, U.S. President Ronald Reagan acknowledges that the facts of his Iranian initiative appear to indicate that arms were traded for hostages, but omits that proceeds from the sale of arms to Iran have gone to the Contras. This is a violation of the Boland Ammendment, which could imply impeachment. Reagan clearly indicates that "It was a mistake.''
