The New York Times reports that Vice President Richard Cheney was questioned by federal prosecutors about possible efforts by White House staffers to reveal the name of CIA operative Valerie Plame to columnist Robert Novak or other media. Plame is the wife of former Ambassador Joseph Wilson, who had been asked by the U.S. government to explore claims that former Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein's government was attempting to purchase uranium in Africa. |
